Frequently Asked Questions

What watch repairs do you offer?

We have a fantastic watchmaker who specializes in Swiss movements and high-end watches. Services include crystal replacement, band adjustment and replacement, crown and stem repair, movement cleaning, and general servicing. We do not work on digital watches, watches made of wood or plastic, or Japanese movements — but we will replace batteries in those watches.

How much does a battery replacement cost?

Watch battery replacement starts at $20 and goes up to $50. This includes an ultrasonic cleaning of the watch band, redoing the satin finish on the band, replacing the gasket if it doesn't pass inspection, oiling the gasket, and setting the time and date. We change batteries in Swiss-made movements and higher-end watches. The owner handles watch batteries personally — it could be while you wait, but it may take up to a week. We want to make sure your timepiece is handled with care, because sometimes changing watch batteries takes a lot of experience to do right.

Do you work on luxury or Swiss watches?

Yes. We have a fantastic watchmaker who only works on Swiss movements and high-end watches. We do not work on Japanese movements, but we will replace those batteries. Watch repair can take a long time for an estimate and a long time for the actual repair — parts may need to be ordered. In certain cases, it can take up to 2–3 months. We just ask for your patience.

How long do watch repairs take?

Battery replacements may be done while you wait or may take up to a week — the owner handles each one personally to ensure it's done right. Crystal replacements and movement work can take significantly longer. More involved repairs may require ordering parts, and in some cases can take up to 2–3 months. We'll give you a timeline and keep you updated throughout.
