Step 1

Bring It In

The jeweler needs to do a full inspection under the microscope to give you an accurate estimate. This type of repair work isn't handled by a sales associate — it requires a trained eye. Sometimes things are irreparable, or other times it's more expensive to repair than replace. We give you our honest assessment so you can make an informed decision.

Step 2

We Fix It

Our jewelers handle the repair at the bench — from soldering and stone setting to polishing and finishing. With over 40 years of experience and state-of-the-art equipment including a precision laser welder, we deliver stronger, cleaner results on every repair.

Step 3

Pick It Up

We'll call you when it's ready. Try it on, make sure you're happy, and you're on your way. We love seeing reactions and smiling faces when someone gets their piece of jewelry back looking better than new!

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of repairs do you handle?

We specialize in fine jewelry repair — sterling silver, gold (10k, 14k, 18k), and platinum. Services include ring sizing, prong retipping and rebuilding, stone replacement, chain and clasp repair, soldering, rhodium plating, polishing, and general restoration. Please note that we do not work on costume jewelry or non-precious metals. If you're not sure, just bring it in — we're always happy to take a look under the microscope for free.

How long do repairs usually take?

Most repairs take about two weeks. It takes time to order parts and work your piece into our queue between other repairs and custom designs. In some cases, if the repair is quick, we can work it in and get it done within a few days — and sometimes we can take care of it on the spot. The timeframe can change, but we're up front with you from the start and keep you appraised of the timing if anything changes.

Do you repair jewelry purchased elsewhere?

We guarantee to fix and repair anything that we sell. If it's brought from somewhere else, we can repair it and in certain cases even make it better and longer lasting. In rare cases, we may refer you to take it back to where you purchased it if it's beyond repair. We're always looking out for our customers — we don't want to charge for repair work when you should be entitled to a refund.

How much does a typical repair cost?

Fine jewelry welding and soldering starts at an average of $50–$200. We use a state-of-the-art laser welder that is more precise and leads to a stronger finished product. We always give you a clear estimate before starting any work, so there are no surprises.

Can you repair my chain?

Sometimes, but honestly — it's often better to replace a chain than repair it. A repaired link is never as strong as the original, and it's likely to break again in the same spot or nearby. If your chain is worn or damaged, we'll tell you straight whether a repair makes sense or if you're better off putting that money toward a new one. We also offer store credit for chain trade-ins, so your old chain still has value.

Heirloom Redesign

Got a family piece that means the world but doesn't fit your style? We can transform sentimental jewelry into something you'll actually wear. Outdated mountings, mismatched stones, pieces from multiple family members — we'll work with you to design something new that carries the history forward.

Your original materials stay in the mix. We remount, re-set, and rework — not replace. The sentiment stays; the design gets an upgrade.

Antique & Estate Restoration

Antique and estate pieces require a different touch. The goal isn't to make it look new — it's to preserve the original craftsmanship while making the piece safe to wear again. We strengthen weakened prongs, reinforce worn shanks, and address structural issues without altering what makes the piece special.

No matter how old the piece may be, using modern technology and our 40+ years of experience allows us to work on a wide range of fine jewelry. We'll give you options to repair and/or fully restore the piece.

Need a Repair?

We work exclusively on fine jewelry — sterling silver, gold (10k, 14k, 18k), and platinum. No lead soldering, because it's toxic. We're always happy to look at what you have under the microscope and provide a free estimate. Some stones we can tighten at no charge while you wait; others may require us to take the piece in. Bring it by the shop or book an appointment.
